Avidemux Video Editor is a FREE software that will edit and play .ts files. Transport Stream files are a video stream format used for storing video, recorded from satellite receivers, on removable media (DVDs, USB Flash Drives, etc). Right-click any .ts file and from the opened menu point to "Open With". Then browse to choose avidemux2.exe from the Avidemux folder in your Program Files folder (to always open such files). When the file is opened and you are asked by Avidemux: Do you want to index this file? Click: Yes. Click 'Go' in the Avidemux menu bar, then click 'Play'. Click below

Haali Media Splitter (Haali Matroska Splitter) is a FREE software that will automatically run when Windows Media Player, or other media player, encounters an .mp4 file allowing playing of that file. Make sure that the Enable MP4 support option is selected before you click Install. Click below

To play Real Media and QuickTime files on Windows Media Player install Storm Codec. Storm Codec works well when one of its unnecessary files (stormupd.dll) is erroneously removed by the antivirus on your computer! So don't worry about that file. Towards the end of the installation, in the Specify File Association dialog box, make sure that Real Media & QuickTimeare selected. Then to make Windows Media Player play the .ram (etc) files: right-click the file, point to Open With, select Choose Default Program, tick the checkbox next to Always use the selected program to open this kind of file if it is not already ticked, click Browse..., select Windows Media Player (wmplayer.exe), and finally click OK. An .MKV file is a Matroska video. It is an alternative to the popular AVI and MP4 formats and it surpasses them in many areas. Windows Media Player will play back MKV files perfectly if you have the proper codecs (coders/decoders) and filters installed. Any .BIN file contains all the data stored on the original disc from which it was copied, in BINARY form, including not only its files and folders but also its system-specific information. A BIN file is always supplied with a CUE file (Example: X.bin and X.cue). The CUE file can be opened by using Notepad although you don't have to do that. Use a disc burner to write the file to a CD/DVD disc: select the CUE file only (Don’t select the BIN file); this will make your new CD/DVD ready with all the files that were present in the BIN file.
